The Plight of Bangladeshi Migrant Women at India’s Borders

This is an illustration I’d made recently for an article by Manik Sharma for FirstPost outlining the trials and tribulations faced by Bangladeshi women who seek to cross over into Indian territory seeking a better future.

It speaks of limbo these women find themselves in – incarcerated in India while waiting indefinitely for their immigration papers, but unable and unwanting to return to their home country, alongside illustrating the efforts of activist Rimple Mehta – and many others – to assist them. Please give the article a read!
